Could you please introduce yourself and tell us a little about your educational background?

My name is Adenubi Kehinde Glory, and I’m a Chemical Engineering graduate from Covenant University. I completed my secondary education at Landmark College, after which I pursued a five-year degree in Chemical Engineering.

How does it feel to have graduated with First-Class Honours in Chemical Engineering?

It feels truly rewarding. Achieving this milestone is a reflection of the hard work, commitment, and discipline I put into my studies over the years.

What inspired you to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering?

Back in secondary school, the subjects I performed best in were Mathematics, Chemistry, and Technical Drawing. My strength and interest in these subjects naturally drew me towards a career in Chemical Engineering.

How did your experience at Landmark College contribute to your academic growth?

Landmark College played a major role in shaping my reading culture. The weekly tests and prep periods taught me the value of consistency and discipline.

I learned early on that to excel at something, you have to put in the hours and stay committed.

What challenges did you encounter during your studies, and how did you overcome them?

One major challenge I faced was transitioning from objective questions to theory-based exams in my 300 level.

Initially, it was tough, but I adjusted my reading strategy in 400 level, adopting active recall techniques. This approach helped me understand and retain information better, and my grades improved significantly.

What habits or study routines helped you maintain consistent academic excellence?

I made it a habit to start reading early, not just when exams or tests were close. This helped me familiarize myself with the course content ahead of time, making revisions much easier and less stressful.

What message would you share with young students, especially girls aspiring to excel in science and engineering?

Success begins with the right mindset. Believe that you can excel, and don’t let the fears or opinions of others shape your perception of any subject or field. Stay open-minded, consistent, and willing to learn.

What are your plans going forward — academically, professionally, or personally?

I plan to earn professional certifications that will complement my degree and increase my employability. I’m also looking forward to gaining practical experience in the industry and growing both academically and professionally.

How did Landmark College contribute to this academic achievement?

The strong reading culture I developed at Landmark College laid the foundation for my academic success. The discipline and study habits I learned there stayed with me throughout my university journey and played a huge role in my achievement.

Could you please mention teachers that laid solid foundation for today's achievement?

I can never forget the important roles played by the following teachers: Mr Micheal, mathematics teacher; Mr Odejayi, technical drawing teacher; Mrs Ayoade, chemistry teacher, Mr Udoh, physics teacher and Mrs Faseyitan, biology teacher

Kehinde Glory Adenubi’s story is a shining example of how a solid educational foundation can empower young minds to achieve greatness. From her formative years at Landmark College to earning a First-Class degree at Covenant University, she continues to embody the values of excellence, resilience, and purpose.
